The Walking Dead has unveiled a proper look at its live attraction, and it's not for the faint-hearted.

The video gives Rick Grimes wannabes a good idea of what to expect from the upcoming theme park experience, which is based on AMC's hugely popular TV series.

With areas including the prison, Woodbury, Terminus and Alexandria, fans will surely dig all the references from the show - when they're not running away screaming from the hordes of walkers, of course.

Greg Nicotero, executive producer of the TV series, previously said that he was excited to make the Universal Studios Hollywood experience "as 100% authentic as possible".

"We're getting the chance to utilise moulds that were created specifically for the show and translate them into parts of the attraction," he said. "We're creating animatronic walkers that guests will be able to see.

"It's never been done before... It's one-of-a-kind, state-of-the-art."

The attraction is kicking off on Monday, July 4 in Los Angeles.
