Horror movie legend Tom Savini has joined the cast of the new season of Netflix drama From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series.
Savini, who appeared in horror classics such as Dawn of the Dead and Creepshow, also starred as the character Sex Machine in the original From Dusk Till Dawn film in 1996. He joins the series for its third season.
Not only is he a familiar face on screen for horror movie aficionados, Savini also worked behind the scenes on films such as Friday the Thirteenth and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: 2 as a special effects technician and makeup artist.
In From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series, Savini is playing a different character this time around - a wayward, retired demon hunter called Burt.
He joins fellow new series recruits Ana de la Reguera, who recently joined the 217-strong cast for season 3 of Twin Peaks, and martial arts specialist Marko Zaror.
Breaking Bad's Emily Rios will also be returning to the supernatural horror, reprising her role as Ximena alongside regulars DJ Cotrona and Zane Holtz, who also return as the notorious Gecko brothers.
The new ten-episode series of From Dusk Till Dawn is currently filming in New Mexico, and will follow the Gecko brothers as they continue to do battle against evils of vampires, bandits and goddesses across Texas and Mexico.
