The Blacklist spinoff IS going to be focused around Ryan Eggold after all.

Eggold is attached to the NBC pilot to reprise his Blacklist role as covert agent Tom Keen, the husband of FBI profiler Liz Keen (Megan Boone).

TVLine reports that Eggold has now inked a deal to star opposite Famke Janssen in the unnamed Blacklist companion show.

Famke Janssen debuts first in The Blacklist this season as Scottie Halsted, who has a strong (and possibly familial) bond to Tom.

Also on board is Edi Gathegi, who'll be playing The Blacklist's current baddie Mr Solomon once again.

The Blacklist introduces the spinoff in its May 12 episode, paving the way for NBC to pick up a full season based on its reception.

NBC picked up The Blacklist for its own fourth season last December
