Miley Cyrus is yet to make her anticipated debut as a coach on The Voice US, but the singer's current role as key advisor has made her realise "how real" the talent show actually is.
The 22-year-old star explained to People magazine: "I didn't really know what to expect from this show.
"I didn't realise how real it was. It's about making things your own... Being yourself."
Cyrus will feature as a judge on season 11 of the series, but she has already been on the show to advise the hopefuls as they battle it out for a spot on the live shows.
"I love being with these artists because we've seen little changes being made and it's a new song, a new person," she continued.
"You have this platform to bring light to people and to bring hope to people and I think that's what this show does."
