Ever wondered how different Carrie's life might have been if her main man Big was played by Alec Baldwin instead?

Us neither, but the show's creator Darren Star has revealed to Entertainment Weekly that the Baldwin brother was on his mind.

"I was thinking of Alec Baldwin for Big initially," Star confessed. "But I met with Chris Noth and thought he was perfect."

It's a sweeping statement that's giving us all sorts of thoughts. How would Carrie and Big's on-and-off (and finally on) relationship have turned out if the Hollywood heavyweight had taken on the role?

Would that basketball fight/mud wrestle have taken a different turn with a Baldwin brother going up against Aidan? Who knows?

We can't say we think anyone would have done a better job than Noth at portraying Carrie's eventual husband though, and neither does the genius mind behind SATC.
