We're all beyond excited to finally see Jeffrey Dean Morgan's entrance as the ultra-villain Negan in The Walking Dead, and co-star Lennie James has just made us want it more.
The British actor - who plays Morgan in the AMC zombie drama - spoke to Digital Spy about working with Jeffrey and what fans can expect in the next few weeks.
"I think he is fantastic casting for the role and the work he has done on the show so far is proof of that, and it's off the chart," he said.
"It is such a dazzling introduction that it's going to blow people off their seats. [Season six] is going to go places that even if you read the comics you've got no f**king idea what's going to happen!"
The Walking Dead has never shied away from shocking deaths, and with Negan now on the scene the chances of that are even greater.
When asked how he deals with the possibility of his character being bumped off, Lennie said: "It is scary when it happens, but it's not when you're [moving] on, really.
What to Read Next
"Traditionally as an English actor – when I first came to the States I did a show called Jericho. You do a pilot, if it gets picked up you do 13 episodes if you're lucky, and then if the show is successful they give you the back 9 which brings you to 22.
"When I came to America, the longest I played a single character was six episodes or two sets making 12. So to go on and play a character that was in the first 13 and then the back 9, I thought 'Jesus Christ, they're milking this aren't they?', so it was an anathema to me.
"So now, I love The Walking Dead and the cast and the crew and I hope to be there for a few more seasons, but the fact that on this show people die, is both a blessing and a curse."
Jeffrey Dean Morgan is expected to make his debut before the season six finale of The Walking Dead later this year. The show returns on Sunday at 9pm on AMC in the US and the following day at 9pm on FOX in the UK.
