Before this year's Emmy Awards glory, Jon Hamm was so used to losing that he once threw an after-party only for the unlucky.
The Mad Men actor dropped by Late Night with Seth Meyers this week to reflect on once creating a Losers' Lounge with pal Amy Poehler.
"I'm not very good at winning because I haven't had a lot of practice. I've had a lot of practice at losing," he joked.
"[Amy Poehler and I] decided we would test the fates and decided randomly, 'We should have a losers' party'. We hadn't lost yet – but we were nominated and we were so certain we were going to lose that we [thought] we should throw a losers' party for all the losers.
"We called it the Losers' Lounge… There's more losers than winners, they should get a party too. Why shouldn't it be our party – because we can always get in! If you won an Emmy, you couldn't come.
"Sorry guys, you got your own parties. With the exception of if you made a hefty donation [at the door] to a charity of our choosing."

Winners even had to check their Emmys at the door to get inside the Losers' Lounge – something that stars like Tina Fey did.
Hamm's run of Emmy bad luck finally came to an end this year when he took home the Outstanding Lead Actor after nearly a decade of losses.
Still no luck for Poehler, who was upended in the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series once again by Veep's Julia Louis-Dreyfus.
Late Night with Seth Meyers continues weeknights on NBC in the US.
