A Euphoria star has commented on a brutal death in the latest episode of Sam Levinson's show, ready to bow out with its third and final season. One of the show's protagonists, Jacob Elordi, has addressed his character Nate Jacobs' untimely demise scenes, commenting that it was "a cool way to go".
Euphoria returned last month with a time jump, seeing the characters of East Highland High now navigating the world as grownups. After a rocky relationship, Nate and Cassie Howard (Sydney Sweeney) tied the knot earlier in this third season and were involved with gangster Naz (Jack Topalian) as they strived to repay a debt.
In the latest episode, 'Rain or Shine', Naz placed Nate in a coffin with a pipe supplying oxygen while Cassie attempted to raise the money they owed him. Things took a turn for the worse when a snake entered the pipe and fatally bit Nate.

Speaking in a post-show recap with HBO on Sunday, Elordi said: "Nate was someone who has made so many mistakes and made so many dark choices. It's cool to see it all come to what it's come to."
The actor, more recently seen on the big screen on Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein and the new Wuthering Heights, also touched upon the claustrophobic sequence, commenting: "It was really nice, actually – it was quite peaceful in there."

"My shoulders were touching the side and they couldn't move my arms, then they would drill the lid on it and it would get dark," he added.
Elordi also got candid about working with live animals, admitting being locked in a box with snakes in his proximity was "alarming".
"Snakes were rattling, which was really alarming when you are locked in a box," he said, also describing one of his scaly scene partners as "super cute" and "really cuddly".
He added: "He was a sleepy snake. I had to kind of nudge him to get him to come up."
Euphoria airs new episodes on HBO in the US on Sunday nights, and on Sky Atlantic, NOW and HBO Max at 2am on Monday mornings in the UK.
