Mad Men's Jon Hamm finally broke his Emmy Awards curse tonight (September 20).
Hamm won the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for Mad Men's series finale 'Person to Person', after being nominated 16 times in various categories over the years.
"There has been a mistake, clearly. This is impossible to be named with all of those extraordinary gentlemen," Hamm said in his acceptance speech.
"It's impossible to be standing up here. It's impossible to have worked with these incredible people… It's impossible for me, personally, to be standing here.
"Thank you to everyone who ever watched the show. Thank you for this!"
Hamm took the Drama Actor prize in spite of heavy competition from Kyle Chandler (Bloodline), Jeff Daniels (The Newsroom), Bob Odenkirk (Better Call Saul), Liev Schreiber (Ray Donovan) and Kevin Spacey (House of Cards).
