The Miss America pageant held steady but couldn't top primetime NFL coverage, according to Nielsen figures.
ABC's coverage of Miss America matched last year's score of 1.5 (6.98m) at 9pm.
NBC won the key 18-49 demographic on Sunday with 7.6.
Football Night In America reached a massive 9.8 (26.67m) at 8pm on the Peacock Network.
Over on CBS, 60 Minutes earned 2.5 (10.43m) at 8pm and Big Brother hit 2.4 (7.41m) at 8.30pm.
