Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No! made landfall on Wednesday (July 22) with a lot fewer viewers than last summer, according to Nielsen figures.

The celebrity-filled disaster movie earned 0.9 (2.81m) on Syfy, way down from last year's 1.3 (3.87m).

Meanwhile, NBC topped the networks in the key 18-49 demographic with 1.4.

Last Comic Standing returned to the Peacock Network with 1.5 (6.05m) at 9pm, down two-tenths of a point from last year.

On CBS, Big Brother garnered 1.8 (5.75m) at 8pm and Extant rose a tenth with 0.7 (4.34m) in its new 9pm timeslot.

The recently-renewed MasterChef earned 1.5 (4.44m) at 8pm on Fox, followed by the debut of Home Free taking 0.9 (2.93m) at 9pm.
