Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell: BBC One, 9pm

It's the penultimate episode, and desperate to resurrect his dead wife Arabella, Strange has fled to Venice.

Unfortunately, Strange may have unleashed a greater terror when he meddles with fairy magic, while Norrell's attempts to control the magic in England backfire.

Black Work: ITV, 9pm

In this new detective series starring Sheridan Smith, PC Jo Gillespie's husband is shot and subsequently murdered while working undercover at a warehouse.

As her life is turned upside down, Jo (Smith) finds it difficult to trust those around her and sets herself up with the task of tracking down her husband's killer.

Humans: Channel 4, 9pm

In the second episode of this sci-fi drama, Laura becomes increasingly paranoid about her synth Anita, as the AI performs her domestic roles with suspicious efficiency.

Meanwhile, nightmares become a reality for George when his beloved synth Odi is replaced by a very different model.
