The cast of DC's Legends of Tomorrow are offering the first major hints on what viewers can expect from the Arrow and Flash spinoff.
Legends of Tomorrow brings together The Atom (Brandon Routh), Professor Martin Stein (Victor Garber) and the time traveler Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) to form a new superhero team.
The CW series also introduces classic DC Comics hero Hawkgirl, who was briefly glimpsed previously in The Flash's season one finale.
"I think what we're looking to do is meld some of the storylines that Hawkgirl has had over the years together," Ciara Renée reveals of her character.
"It will be kind of interesting – this is her origin!"

Another newcomer is Franz Drameh, whose character Jay Jackson is only described as a former high school athlete-turned-auto mechanic.
When asked if fans should expect Drameh to have super powers, the actor coyly replied: "When the show comes out – everyone will see!"
The Magnificent Seven-like series unites heroes and villains from the DC universe to battle the immortal warlord Vandal Savage.
DC's Legends of Tomorrow premieres in January on The CW in the US.
