The CW has teamed up with the creators of the hit TV series for a new project planned for next season, according to Deadline.
According to reports, several characters from both series will be featured in the new show, including Wentworth Miller as villain Leonard Snart/Captain Cold and Victor Garber as Dr Martin Stein from The Flash, as well as Brandon Routh, who plays Ray Palmer/The Atom, and Caity Lotz from Arrow.
As her character Sara Lance was killed off in the Arrow third season premiere, it is unclear what Lotz's role in the new series would be, leading to speculation over whether the actress could be set to appear as an entirely new superhero.
Lotz appeared to confirm the news of the project on her Twitter account, sharing the Deadline article alongside the question: "Is this an omfg moment?"

As the project is still in its early development stages, there is still a possibility that more characters from both shows could make an appearance in the spin-off.
The new project would also feature three major DC Comics characters who have yet to make their television debut.
Arrow creators Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and Marc Guggenheim, the latter two of whom also co-created The Flash, and Sarah Schechter are expected to executive produce the series.
