Outlander star Caitríona Balfe has opened up about filming her final-ever scene for the hit Starz drama.
While the second half of Outlander's seventh season is yet to air, the cast has already wrapped filming on the eighth and final outing, which will see fans bid farewell to Balfe's character Claire and Sam Heughan's Jamie.
Discussing her final scene during an appearance on The One Show with Heughan last night (November 19), Balfe shared: "God, it was so emotional. I mean it was an emotional scene anyway, of course, because a lot of them are."

She continued: "We've had a couple of wraps. I feel like we had the official one and then we had our final kind of pick-ups and that sort of stuff.
"But for our official wrap, we had lots of executives who came in and there was lots of the cast who came to the studio, the whole studio was full and we had a seven-minute scene."

"Seven-and-a-half minute scene," Heughan chimed in. "Lots of dialogue. And Outlander, as a lot of these scenes are, they're very dramatic.
"There's a lot of goodbyes in the scene but then it has this double meaning because we're also saying goodbye."
Balfe then added: "And I think my face started doing some weird...part of my face twitched that I didn't know was possible, it was just [emotional]".

Earlier this year, Outlander author Diana Gabaldon revealed that the TV series will have a different ending to the books.
Due to the combination of a shorter season and the final three books (one of which is still unpublished) having not been adapted for the screen, she explained that the showrunners are going to have to chart their own course.
"I think people will be OK with it, but it won't resemble much of Book 10. Only because there isn't room," she said.
"Even if the show-folk had a full copy of the whole book (I told them as much as I knew about it), there's no way the show would resemble it."
Outlander airs on Starz in the US, and streams via MGM+ on Prime Video Channels in the UK. Season 7 part 2 premieres on November 22.
