House of the Dragon's Tom Glynn-Carney says fans should expect "chaos," from the show's season two finale.

During an exclusive interview with Digital Spy the Aegon actor shared that, while the finale felt like "a long way [away]" fans could look forward to "lots of chaotic, frantic dashes for power and control, self-preservation and all that jazz."

The same sentiment was echoed by Ewan Mitchell, who plays Prince Aemond. Mitchell told Digital Spy to "expect the unexpected".

"I think that's encoded in so much of this world that George R.R. Martin's created," Mitchell explained, "you never know what's coming around the corner. I guarantee it's exciting."

During the interview, Mitchell also broke down Aemond's alliance with Fabien Frankel's Criston Cole and how that will impact the upcoming "Green vs. Black" war.

"I think Aemond and Cole both recognise that war is inevitable, and [there's] something similar to Vhagar (Aemond's dragon) in that Cole is almost a relic of war, so to speak.

"It's peacetime in Westeros right now. So he's kind of deemed irrelevant [and] superfluous, similar to Vhagar.

"She was bred for conquest, but when there's nothing left to conquer, she's just left on a beach somewhere in Driftmark, but when war does finally come calling again, you're going to have to call on Cole, you're going to have to call on Vhagar. They're the people that you need in your corner if you want to see it through to the other side."

Mitchell also teased some pretty tense scenes to come from his "pretty formidable" character.

"I mean, [Aemond's] swordsmanship is just next [level]. I don't want to blow his trumpet too much, but he's good. He's handy. He's proficient with his sword."

He added: "If you go up against Aemond and Vhagar, it won't be pretty for you. She's the hardened survivor of over a hundred battles, and she's still alive for a reason. In season two, she might just teach you why."

House of the Dragon season two will debut on June 16 in the US on HBO and Max, and on June 17 in UK on Sky Atlantic and NOW. Season one is available to stream now on HBO, Sky Atlantic and NOW.

Game of Thrones seasons 1-8 are also available on DVD and Blu-ray.
