NCIS actor Sean Murray has discussed a possible crossover for Timothy McGee in the upcoming Ziva David and Tony DiNozzo spinoff series.

Announced a matter of weeks ago by Paramount+, this NCIS offshoot welcomes back Cote de Pablo (as Ziva) and Michael Weatherly (Tony) for 10 episodes as they go on the run across Europe with their daughter Tali.

Murray, who plays McGee in the flagship show, told TV Insider that it's "very possible" his character could make a cameo somewhere along the line.

The star also touched on his personal relationship with Weatherly, sharing: "Michael is a lifelong friend. I talk to him all the time. Actually, most of the people that have come through the show I'm very, very close with.

"The world of Tony and Ziva (and daughter Tali) promises to be an action-packed rollercoaster fuelled by love, danger, tears and laughter. We also want to acknowledge and thank the fans from around the world who supported the 'TIVA' movement for years. To this day, they say hello in grocery stores and on the street to tell us how much these characters mean to them and ask what Tony and Ziva are up to now. This is for you."

NCIS airs on CBS in the US. Seasons 1-20 are streaming on Disney+ in the UK.
