New Yorkers received a fright after falling victim to a Walking Dead zombie prank.
Organised by AMC, actors in makeup and costume lay hidden underneath a grate, before scaring anyone who wandered in the general vicinity.
The Walking Dead's fourth season will resume on Sunday, February 9 at 9/8c on AMC, with UK broadcaster Fox airing new episodes less than 24 hours after US broadcast.
A promo for the episode 'Not Afraid' was recently unveiled.
The 30-second clip shows the survivors - including Andrew Lincoln's Rick Grimes - separated and forced to fend off walkers alone, following the devastating events of 2013's midseason finale 'Too Far Gone'.
