The Newsroom creator Aaron Sorkin has denied tabloid reports that Olivia Munn has caused friction on the programme's set.
A report by Radar Online suggested that Sorkin had clashed with Munn while shooting The Newsroom due to her allegedly entitled attitude.
Sorkin has since spoken out to insist that there have been no problems of any kind with Munn.
"The story bears no resemblance to reality," he told E! News.
The writer continued: "Olivia is a perfect cast member who is loved and respected by the entire cast, by the crew and the producers, by HBO and especially by me."
Munn stars in The Newsroom as financial journalist Sloan Sabbith.

The actress previously revealed she undertakes an elaborate preparation process while filming The Newsroom.
"Sometimes, no matter how much I prepare, I can let my emotions of the day affect my choices in a scene, so I like to have my notes with me to remind myself of what track I should be on," Munn said.
"And with scripts as complicated and rich as Sorkin's, it's vital for me. My notes become my sheet music."
HBO renewed The Newsroom for a third season in July.
