Slow Horses season 3 will premiere tomorrow (November 29), but before that, it has been awarded a 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes.

The series follows the MI5 candidates who try to do their jobs despite a shed load of red tape, managerial indifference, and a pretty miserable character played by none other than Gary Oldman.

At the time of writing, seven reviews from critics have been collected with all of them being positive, so let's have a look at what some of them have said.

Empire - 5/5

"Flying as far below the radar as its cast of unlikely super-spies, this horse is more dark than slow — a beautifully crafted prestige drama that would be more than worthy of a prime-time slot on BBC One. If you’ve ever toyed with a subscription to Apple’s streaming service, this should be reason enough to bite the bullet."

AV Club

"Three seasons in, Slow Horses is still tremendous fun. Showrunner Will Smith bases the lean, well-paced seasons on road-tested Herron plots, with a uniformly appealing cast and satisfying mix of mystery, underdog comedy, and cutting dialogue. Shuffling about in a filthy mac with stringy, greasy hair, Oldman's Lamb has become one of the most unique, vivid TV characters in years. You can nearly smell the stench of cigarettes and hangover as Oldman runs endless variations on Lamb’s amused, appalled contempt."

Evening Standard - 5/5

"It's a fiendishly backflipping plot that sets Slough House on a dirty, brutal collision course with their overlords at The Park (aka MI5 Central). If you can rumble the savagely good twists, which come courtesy of the brilliant Mick Herron source novels, they should sign you up for the agency no questions asked."

The Playlist

"In an era in which streaming shows so often sag under the weight of episode orders that the writers can’t seem to fill, there's something so refreshing about a program like Slow Horses that has nary a bit of fat on its six episodes. There's never a point when Slow Horses sags, and yet it's not an overheated action show at the same time. It allows for just the right balance of plot and character, often pushing the two forward at the same time."

Slow Horses season 3 begins tomorrow, November 29, on Apple TV+. Seasons 1 and 2 can be streamed now. A fourth season has been greenlit.
