Netflix has released the first trailer and release date for Prince Harry's upcoming documentary series, Heart of Invictus.

The streamer confirmed that the series, which follows armed forces personnel as they prepare for the Invictus Games, will be available to stream from August 30.

Founded by the Duke of Sussex, the Invictus Games is a sporting event held for wounded and injured servicemen and women, allowing them to support their rehabilitation through sport.

In the trailer, we see Harry give a speech to participants before exploring the hardships faced by those taking part.

"The Games doesn't focus on what causes the injury, but really about the recovery and how to be part of a community again."

The trailer then cuts to several participants from across the world as they get ready for the event, as well as showing how many adjust to live their lives after their injuries.

The trailer also includes footage of people serving in active war zones. "90% of my team are currently serving," a Ukrainian solider explains over a remote interview before being cut off by shelling in the distance.

"You are people of substance, of resilience, of strength," Harry told the participants. "You have the heart of Invictus."

The documentary is the third project to come from Meghan and Harry's Archewell Productions, which previously saw the pair collaborate with the streamer on Harry & Meghan and Live to Lead, following their production deal in 2020.

Heart of Invictus premieres on Netflix on August 30.
