Tom Holland has discussed the ending of TV miniseries The Crowded Room.
The Apple TV+ series about a man on trial after his involvement in a shooting in New York in 1979 aired its final episode this week.
What to Read Next
After his arrest, Holland's character Danny discusses his life with interrogator Rya Goodwin, played by Amanda Seyfried, and details of his past are revealed.
Danny was ultimately found not guilty on the basis of his multiple personality disorder (now known as dissociative identity disorder). And while it looks like things were tied up neatly, there was a moment where Danny says: "I have a debt to pay. It's my time to be the guardian angel."

This is followed by a shot of him alongside his "twin brother" Adam.
It feels like the show could be hinting that Adam is the last remaining alter to be integrated back into Danny's main personality, but to find out what is actually going, Digital Spy went straight to Spider-Man actor Tom Holland himself.
"I think that is a beautiful moment in the show to leave up to people's interpretation," the actor said, in an exclusive interview. "I know that’s probably a really disappointing answer, but I can tell you what it means to me.
"Because Adam is the original alter, he really did save Danny. And I think Danny feels like he let him down, which is what that realisation is, on the stand.

"So I think that line is Danny taking responsibility for his failings, and deciding to now have the power to keep Adam around, and to do the right thing, and to be a good brother, I guess."
Looking back at the series as a whole, Holland called it "one of the craziest experiences I've ever had" and a major learning experience for him, praising creator Akiva Goldsman for his support.
"Having Akiva as an ally and as a mentor throughout this process, and learning about his past experiences, and learning about mental health, and learning about what we can do, has been a wonderful thing," he said. "And I'm definitely a better person for it."
The Crowded Room is available to watch on Apple TV+.
