One of Us Is Lying has future confirmed after two seasons

One of Us Is Lying has an update... but it's not a good one.

After two seasons of the show, Peacock has decided to cut the cord, leaving the anticipated third season looking very unlikely unless producer Universal Studio Group tries to find a new home for it.

This isn't the only loss from Peacock, with the streaming service also dropping Vampire Academy from its roster.

Audience numbers might be the cause for the two shows being cancelled, with Deadline reporting that "execs at Peacock were happy with both shows creatively but they just didn’t find the requisite audience to justify further seasons."

However, the existing audience of One of Us Is Lying certainly won't be happy, with season two having ended on a huge cliffhanger.

The end of season two saw a whole new drama unfold, with more death, and more intrigue.

Ending with a flashforward to graduation, the school becomes a crime scene once more, but we don't know exactly what happened, or what it means for the characters.

To quote a Digital Spy previously asked:, "What happened at graduation? What secret does Fiona know about Jake, and what might Cole have done to protect that secret? How is high school going to end for The Bayview Four?

"Only time and season three will tell, so we shall pray to the Peacock/Netflix gods for a renewal."

Looks like the Peacock/Netflix gods have failed us this time.
