It's a fun Easter Egg for fans after Cox's return as Daredevil was officially confirmed in Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Opening up about the scene, the actor exclusively told Digital Spy that he knew the moment would go down a treat with fans.

"Yeah, I remember making a joke about that," he laughed. "I remember saying, 'Well, this is something that a very niche set of fans is going to love'."

After reprising his role as Matt Murdock for a cameo in Spider-Man: No Way Home and then in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law for a few episodes, he'll be back with a full Daredevil series on Disney+.

Meanwhile, Cox recently opened up about being happy that Netflix considered working with him again after it decided to axe Daredevil.

He shared: "I felt very grateful and thankful that Netflix was still willing to hire me. I had a really, really good experience.

"It’s really interesting because it’s a very different team. None of the people that I worked with previously were on this show. And also, with COVID restrictions, there’s not many producers on set in the way that they were in the past."

Daredevil seasons 1-3 are streaming on Disney+. Daredevil: Born Again is due to premiere in 2024.
