The main show, which is currently in its third season, focuses on a studio that produces the biggest online multiplayer game of all time.

The series will consist of eight episodes and will follow the model of Mythic Quest episodes such as 'Dark Quiet Death', 'Backstory!' and 'Everlight'.

Additionally, main Mythic Quest creators Megan Ganz, Rob McElhenney and Charlie Day are on board as executive producers for the spinoff, as is star and executive producer David Hornsby.

One star that didn't return for the third season was F Murray Abraham, whose character CW Longbottom was confirmed not to be coming back in April. The show's recent third season premiere confirmed how the character had been written out.

"F Murray Abraham will not be returning to season three of Mythic Quest. Beyond that, we do not comment on matters concerning personnel," studio Lionsgate said in a previous statement.

Mythic Quest season 3 is now streaming exclusively on AppleTV+ with new episodes releasing weekly. A release date for spinoff series Mere Mortals is yet to be confirmed.
