Rick and Morty has teased a Christmas special for its upcoming season six finale with a brand new clip.

In a tweet, Swimpedia, which shares news and updates on all-things Adult Swim, wrote: "Tune into @adultswim on Sunday, December 11th at 11:00 PM to catch the final episode of Rick and Morty Season 6, 'Ricktional Mortpoon's Rickmas Mortcation!'"

The short clip from the season finale features Morty, Summer, Jerry, Beth and Space Beth sat in their decorated living room enjoying Christmas. Rick, donning a Santa hat, then enters the room laden with a sack of presents.

"Santa-chez here with gifts from across the multiverse. For Jerry, an extra-dimensional version of Miracle on 34th Street," Rick says, handing gifts to the family.

"For Beth, a framed photo of the two of us from a universe where she wasn’t murdered as a child. And for Space Beth, the same thing because we don’t know which one of you is real."

Space Beth sarcastically thanks him and that’s where the teaser ends. The most recent episode of Rick and Morty featured Daniel Radcliffe and Jack Black in a Game of Thrones-inspired entry.

The parody episode is titled 'A Rick in King Mortur's Mort' and sees Morty accidentally start a war after becoming a Knight of the Sun. That is the ninth and penultimate episode of this sixth season, which featured a mid-season break.

Not much else is known of the season finale but Rick and Morty writer and producer Scott Marder recently teased the return of the villain Rick Prime, who was last seen in the season six premiere.

"I can't say when, but you'll definitely see him again," Marder said. "I think you'll be excited to hear that we are tracking all sorts of fun stuff like that. We're on the backside of writing season eight right now and all those are things that are in play."

Rick and Morty airs on Adult Swim in the US, and on E4 and All 4 in the UK.
