Iron Man star Robert Downey Jr has unveiled his shock transformation after shaving his head for an upcoming role in TV show The Sympathizer.
Making an appearance at Saturday's Governors Ball alongside his wife Susan, Downey Jr was seen rocking a completely bald head, which was down to the handiwork of his children.
The actor shared the process behind his transformation via his Instagram account last month, revealing he asked his two sons to shave his head after deciding that he didn't want to wear a bald cap for his role in HBO's adaptation of Viet Thanh Nguyen's 2015 novel.

The Sympathizer follows a spy serving in the South Vietnam army during the final days of the war, who goes on to work as a cultural advisor for Hollywood films such as Apocalypse Now and Platoon. Downey Jr will be playing a Hollywood director, as well as a congressman and CIA operative in the series.
Killing Eve's Sandra Oh is also set to have a recurring role in the show alongside Kieu Chinh and Nguyen Cao Ky Duyen (via Deadline).

While Downey Jr has been known throughout the years for his trademark short, dark locks, he has been seen experimenting with a whole host of new hairdos recently. Earlier this year, the actor was seen with bright blue hair while cheering on his son's baseball team.
He underwent a similar transformation for his role in Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer, looking unrecognisable after dyeing his hair grey.
In the film, the actor will be playing Lewis Strauss opposite Peaky Blinders star Cillian Murphy, who stars as J Robert Oppenheimer. Strauss was the head of the United States Atomic Energy Commission, investigating whether Oppenheimer was loyal to the US.
Oppenheimer, based on the book American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J Robert Oppenheimer, is set for release on July 21, 2023.
