Netflix will be renewing Neil Gaiman's The Sandman for a second season.
According to Deadline, the streaming site has given the greenlight for season two of the show to be made, following a deleted confirmation tweet from the DC Comics Twitter account.
The now-deleted tweet read: "The dream continues. [The Sandman] will return with new episodes based on multiple volumes of the Neil Gaiman graphic novel to explore even more stories of the Endless."

The news follows speculation about the show's future, with Gaiman himself even responding to fan queries online.
Asked on Twitter about Netflix's hesitancy to confirm a second season, the author responded: "Because Sandman is a really expensive show. And for Netflix to release the money to let us make another season we have to perform incredibly well.
"So yes, we've been the top show in the world for the last two weeks. That still may not be enough."
Premiering in August, The Sandman has been hugely popular on Netflix, pulling in 69.5 million hours viewed in the first three days of its release.

The show stars Tom Sturridge as Morpheus, the personification of dreams, who has spent the past 106 days in captivity after being captured in an occult ritual. Finally free, he is now trying to restore order over his realm, The Dreaming.
Alongside Sturridge, Game of Thrones' Gwendoline Christie, The Good Place's Kirby Howell-Baptiste, Boyd Holbrook, and Doctor Who stars Jenna Coleman and Arthur Darvill are also part of the cast.
Bonus episodes for the show saw several more stars make an appearance, with David Tennant, Sandra Oh and James McAvoy lending their voices to the two-part special titled 'Dream of a Thousand Cats'.
The Sandman season 1 is streaming on Netflix.
