The Flash has cast former Batwoman star Javicia Leslie in a top-secret role ahead of its final season.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the Batwoman star will be making an appearance in the ninth and final season of The CW's The Flash, though further details about her role are being kept under wraps.
The news of Leslie's return to the Arrowverse comes just months after the shock announcement of Batwoman's cancellation after three seasons.

At the time of its cancellation, showrunner and writer Caroline Dries wrote on Twitter: "Just got the sad news that Batwoman will not be seeing a season 4. I am bummed, but full of gratitude. What an honor to make 51 episodes. So many inspiring, brilliant people contributed to this series. Thank you producers, cast and crew. Thank you, fans! We love you."
After the series was axed, Batwoman star Javicia Leslie shared a moving post to her Instagram calling the role "an honor".
"I was taught that words have power and we speak our life into existence," wrote Leslie. "Well, I spoke this role into my life, and what an honor it has been to watch it play out exactly how it was meant to. Family, this Bat Team is ours. HERstory was made and it can never be taken."

"And to the fans… WOW… I tear up thinking about all of your messages, tweets, DMs, and letters!! You all reminded me why what we do is soooo important."
It looks like fans will get to see Javicia in Gotham at least one more time.
The Flash airs on The CW in the US. Sky Showcase and NOW air the show in the UK.
