Marvel director Taika Waititi has teamed up with Crazy Rich Asians actor Jimmy O. Yang for a new Hulu drama called Interior Chinatown.
Based on Charles Yu's bestselling book of the same name, the series will follow Willis Wu (played by Yang), an extra who goes through the motions of his onscreen job while waiting tables to make ends meet and dreaming about a life outside of Chinatown (via Deadline).
But when Willis unintentionally witnesses a crime and is thrown into the spotlight as he uncovers a criminal network in Chinatown and decides it's his job to take them down.

Waititi will executive produce the ten-episode series and direct the pilot.
The filmmaker has also been tapped to co-write, executive produce and direct the first two episodes for a series adaptation of the 1981 cult classic Time Bandits.
It will follow a young boy who accidentally encounters a group of time-traveling dwarves as they hop between historical eras in search of treasure to steal.
The ten-episode series will star Friends' Lisa Kudrow, as well as Kal-El Tuck (Unseeing Evil), Charlyne Yi (Lucifer), Tadhg Murphy (The Northman), Roger Jean Nsengiyumva (Tomb Raider), Rune Temte (Captain Marvel), Kiera Thompson (Martyrs Lane), and Rachel House (Heartbreak High).

Meanwhile, Crazy Rich Asians has been confirmed for a sequel. Although the complete cast is yet to be announced, it's possible that Yang could reprise his role as obnoxious playboy Bernard Tai.
What we do know is that Constance Wu will be back to play Rachel and Henry Golding as her boyfriend Nick, while Amy Wang will pen the script.
The first movie also starred Gemma Chan, Lisa Lu, Awkwafina, Ken Jeong and Michelle Yeoh, so it's possible they could make a comeback too.
Interior Chinatown is yet to receive a release window.
