Harley Quinn, the DC animated series for adults starring Kaley Cuoco, is getting a new special next year for Valentine's Day.

Harley Quinn: A Very Problematic Valentine's Day Special will premiere on HBO Max in February and focuses on Harley and Poison Ivy celebrating their first Valentine's Day together as an official couple.

We'll also get to see how the other members of their gang celebrate the most romantic day of the year. We've got a feeling that some of them won't enjoy it as much as the others.

The special should tide fans over until the fourth season, which has been confirmed following the success of the third.

Harley Quinn has obviously been having adventures on the big screen too, with Margot Robbie playing her in three films (so far). It's recently been announced that Lady Gaga will play a different universe version of the character in the musical sequel.

Speaking about Gaga's casting, Robbie recently said: "It makes me so happy, because I said from the beginning all I want is for Harley Quinn to be one of those characters that... the way like Macbeth or Batman always gets passed from great actor to great actor, and it's kind of like someone gets to do their Batman or someone gets to do their Macbeth, you know?

"It's such an honour to have built a foundation strong enough that Harley can now be one of those characters that other actors get to have a go at playing, and I think she'll do something incredible with it."

Harley Quinn streams on HBO Max in the US, and on E4 and All4 in the UK.
