Cobra Kai fans don’t have long to wait until season 5 arrives, but they might need to mentally prepare themselves for what's to come.
The hit Netflix series is no stranger to intense fight scenes as it explores the feuds within the karate scene, but it seems season five is not for the fainthearted.
Gianni DeCenzo, who plays Demetri, has teased that the upcoming series has the "most bloodshed we’ve seen" compared to any of the previous seasons.
In an interview with Digital Spy, DeCenzo warned: "Man, you gotta be ready. It gets violent. I'm not gonna lie. I think it's the most bloodshed we've seen in any previous season."

The actor went so far as to say that fans might need a "barf bag" for the particularly gruesome moments.

"If you get squeamish, you might need like a barf bag," he continued. "I don't know if you're ready. I think this season gets intense – it's dialled up to 11.
"Somehow, the creators always seem to outdo themselves each season. When the previous season comes out, you know, I'm always like, 'I don't know how you can top this'. And then the next one comes out. I'm like, 'Oh, that's how!'"
Alongside the action-packed sequences, fans can also expect to see more of Demetri rebuilding his friendship with Eli/Hawk (Jacob Bertrand) as the 'Binary Brothers'.

"In the past, Demetri and Eli have had kind of a rocky relationship. At first they were super close because they really only had each other, and then this karate thing came around and kind of changed Eli, he became Hawk and he just went down a dark path," DeCenzo said about the duo's turbulent history.
“Demetri had tried to pull them back out a couple of times, but to no avail. They really butted heads there to the point where there was some bone breakage... just a couple of bones. It doesn't matter, that's friendship, right?!”
In season five, Demetri and Eli will start to turn a corner and "work together again", the actor teased.
DeCenzo explained: "Going into the fifth season, I think it's just them building that relationship up again.
"I would say at first it was kind of rocky but when you've been friends for as long as they have, I think you just kind of fall back into it, you know? It's just that easy."
Cobra Kai returns to Netflix on September 9 for its fifth season.
