Marvel's Shang-Chi actor Sir Ben Kinglsey is set to return as Trevor Slattery for the upcoming Wonder Man series.
According to Deadline, the actor will be reprising the role that he took on for Shang-Chi and the Legends of the Ten Rings and Iron Man 3 for the brand new series.
In Iron Man 3 it was revealed Kingsley's Mandarin was actually Trevor Slattery, a washed-up actor hired by Aldrich Killian (Guy Pearce) to pose as the Mandarin as a front.

By the end of the movie Trevor was locked up and a later short All Hail the King, saw a Ten Rings member break him out of prison to go and meet the real (but not as comic fans know him) Mandarin – Wenwu.
Kingsley's Trevor later befriended Wenwu's children Shang-Chi (Simu Liu), Xu Xialing (Meng'er Zhang) and Katy (Awkwafina), where they escaped captivity with the help of Morris.

When they escaped to the village of Ta Lo, the no-longer-villainous Trevor joined them in the final fight against the Ten Rings – by playing dead of course.

Trevor survived the battle and is seen at the end of the movie, but that's the last we see of him – until he is due to pop up in the new Wonder Man series that is.
Shang-Chi director Destin Daniel Cretton will be producing the Disney+ series based on Wonder Man, as well as directing at least one episode of the live-action show.
Wonder Man aka Simon Williams moonlights as a superhero, but his day job is as a Hollywood B-actor and stuntman starring in schlocky genre movies.
Wonder Man was created by Marvel Comics icons Stan Lee, Jack Kirby and Don Heck as a villain in 1964, before later becoming more of a bumbling hero in the 1980s.
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is streaming on Disney+.
