Mindy Kaling's Never Have I Ever returned for its third season yesterday (August 12), dropping all episodes in one go. Across the latest batch of episodes, we saw Devi and Paxton's brand new relationship crash and burn, while a romance with Des also fizzled out before long.
Following that, Devi confessed to Ben about her fears that she would die a virgin, and he gave her a coupon that she could claim for a 'free boink' whenever she wanted, which seemed quite jokey. But at graduation, Ben more seriously opened up about how much he'd miss her if she took an offer to go study in Colorado.

Finally, in the last few minutes of the episode, Devi decided that she isn't going to leave her friends behind to go to Colorado, and decided to claim on her coupon. As they kissed and his bedroom door closed, the show cut to credits.

Speaking about how Devi and Ben somehow actually became a thing this season, co-creator Lang Fisher told Entertainment Weekly that: "It's very clear what Ben's feelings are for her. He clearly loves her, but he's so closed off emotionally. He's just such a fortress.
"And in the same way that we see Devi get a little more mature this season, we also see Ben [do the same]. He starts to realize that the way he's behaving is not the way toward happiness. And I feel like when he makes a little declaration to her in the finale, it just grips her heart.
"A little bit of it is that she realized that she's the only one in her friend group who hasn't had sex yet. And it's this thing she's wanted to always do. And then it coincides with this really romantic moment from Ben. So she just goes for it."

Devi actress Maitreyi Ramakrishnan is very happy with where the season took the character, calling it "really awesome" that Devi is doing things in her own time and in her own way.
The fourth season has already been greenlit, and is said to be the final run.
