Sebastian Stan almost crossed paths with a fellow MCU actor again on Pam & Tommy.
The Marvel star plays Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee opposite Lily James as Pamela Anderson on the Emmy-nominated show. Premiered in February, the series retells the theft and illegal distribution of the couple's sex tape and how this impacted their relationship and careers.
At one point in Pam & Tommy (which was made without the approval of Anderson), Lee has a conversation with his own animatronic penis. Lifted from the musician's autobiography, the scene could've been very different with Captain America's Chris Evans voicing Tommy's giant member.
"We didn't know who we were going to get at that point. The guys, I think, called me at one point and were like, 'What do you think? Do you think Chris Evans would do this with you?'" Stan revealed in an interview with Awards Daily.
"I was like, 'I'm not calling him, OK? I can't ask him to do this'."

The scene ultimately made for a hilarious moment as the penis was voiced by The Good Place actor Jason Mantzoukas. However, having Evans on board would've added another layer to the whole situation given he and Stan have shared the screen as Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes on several occasions.

Recently, Stan has weighed in on whether he would return as Lee for another batch of episodes.
Despite conceding that the story could've been explored in more depth, the Fresh star seemed hesitant about appearing as the tattooed drummer again.
"I'll have to think about that. I'm not sure actually, at this point," he said in March.
Pam and Tommy streams on Hulu in the US and STAR on Disney+ in the UK.
