Grey's Anatomy has cast former Neighbours star Adelaide Kane for season 19.
Kane has been cast in the ABC medical drama series as Grey Sloan's newest surgical resident Jules Millin, a first-year resident who pursued medicine after a troubled childhood raised by drug-addicted parents.
Jules has a lifetime of experience in setting ground rules for everyone in her life, and she's unafraid of working outside of the lines to save the lives of her patients.
The surgical resident's willingness to break rules might just get her in trouble with the higher-ups at Grey Sloan, but there is never any doubt about her heart being in the right place (via TVLine).
Kane won a magazine competition to take over the role of Lolly Allen in Neighbours in 2007, but only had a short stint on Ramsay Street before setting for Hollywood.

The casting of Grey Sloan residents may ignite speculation of whether the show may be retooling in case Ellen Pompeo decides it's time to bow out in the next few years.
Asked by Entertainment Tonight if she could see the show continuing without her, Pompeo recently said: "It's inspired so many generations of healthcare workers, so, I think for the young people, it's a really good piece of content and we're going to try to keep it going for the young people, not necessarily with me, but keep it going beyond me."
Grey's Anatomy returns for season 19 on October 6, airing on ABC in the US. In the UK, seasons 1-17 are streaming on Disney+, while season 18 is available via Sky Witness and NOW.
