Star Trek: Picard spoilers follow.

Alison Pill won't appear in the third season of Star Trek: Picard, the actress has confirmed.

The Canadian star, who plays Agnes Jurati opposite Patrick Stewart's Jean-Luc Picard, explained she will get to see the new and final season just like the rest of the show's fans.

Pill's Jurati is a former Starfleet doctor who joins Picard's mission on La Sirena. In the second season, the character has a very close encounter with the Borg Queen, confirming a long-standing theory for fans of the series.

Not completely subjected to the Queen, Agnes shares some headspace with her, hearing her voice and communicating with her, which ultimately ends up messing with her tasks.

In the penultimate episode, 'Hide and Seek', Jurati convinces the Queen to build a new Borg collective through cooperation rather than assimilation. As the Queen left in that episode, Pill's character will also bow out after appearing in every episode of the Paramount+ series so far.

Set to premiere in 2023, the third season will amp up the nostalgia thanks to the return of some more OG stars from Star Trek: The Next Generation.

LeVar Burton will reprise the role of Lt Commander Geordi La Forge, while Michael Dorn will return as Worf and Gates McFadden as Dr Beverly Crusher. They will star alongside returning Next Generation and Picard actors John de Lancie (Q), Jonathan Frakes (Commander William T Riker), Marina Sirtis (Counselor Deanna Troi) and Brent Spiner (Data).

Star Trek: Picard season 2 airs Thursdays on Paramount+ in the US and Fridays on Amazon Prime Video in the UK.
