The Flight Attendant season 2 episode 4 spoilers follow.
As season two of HBO Max's The Flight Attendant continues to air, the latest episode saw the brief return of an exciting character, much to lead actor Kaley Cuoco's (Cassandra Bowden) delight.
In the episode, Cassie and Megan (played by Rosie Perez) end up encountering a North Korean killer, Hak. As the two women find themselves looking down the barrel of Hak's gun (thanks to an ill-timed ringtone), who comes to save the day but familiar lethal assassin Miranda, played by Michelle Gomez.

Gomez's return also saw the return of Miranda's cohort Cecilia played by Kaley's IRL sister Briana Cuoco. Kaley told TVLine: "Miranda returning, my sister returning – and we got to be together in Iceland! – it was just fantastic.
"We knew we wanted Michelle's character back, because she was so, so good in season 1 – so funny and out of the box. When she says [to Cassie and Megan], 'Did you miss me?’ I loved that.'"
Co-showrunner Steve Yockey also spoke about Gomez's return. "Michelle was excited to come back," he revealed. "We wanted it to be a surprise, which is why she comes into the picture right before the opening credits, so that we can then put her name in and not spoil it."

It seems like episode four was big for more than one reason, with Cassie also making the huge decision to cheat on her boyfriend.
Natalie Chaidez, who co-wrote the episode, opened up about the process of filming the intimate scene. "Yes, we do have an intimacy coordinator on set that speaks with both actors prior to the actual filming, and sort of gets their boundaries," she explained. "They discuss the process.
"And so that person was there on set with Mo McRae and Kaley, who, I will say, had tremendous, tremendous chemistry."
The Flight Attendant, season 2 airs on HBO Max in the US. In the UK, it will premiere on Sky Max and NOW on May 26. The series is based on the book of the same name by Chris Bohjalian.
