Moon Knight's May Calamawy is setting the record straight about the Disney+ show's stunts.
There has been some confusion about how much of the stuntwork was performed by the main cast because of a video Oscar Isaac posted before he was even officially announced to be playing Mr Knight.
The clip had fans wondering because, in it, Isaac quotes directly from the Moon Knight comics while he performs some pretty intense fight choreography.

When Digital Spy and other media chatted with Layla actress May Calamawy about production, she clarified that she was not, in fact, doing the dangerous fight and chase sequences seen so far in the show.
"There's some rumour going around that I did. I had two stunt doubles, and they were great, but they pushed me," she pointed out.
"I had to train for two months with the stunt team, and they were incredible. Patrick Vo, the fight coordinator, I don't know what he wanted to do with me. He made me balance my fist on cement every day in a push-up position, and he was like, 'Layla's tough. She has to know this. She's a street fighter.' And I was like, 'I'm so not that.'"

May credited her training with the stunt team as being crucial to developing her Moon Knight character.
"I really helped me discover who Layla was," she noted. "The stunts are fun. It's only hard when it's 3am, and you've been in your trailer sleeping, and they're like, 'It's time! It's time for the fight!"
Her co-star Oscar Isaac added : "And you're splashing water, trying to get there. Yeah, I was so impressed, watching May embrace that amount of physicality, and the things that she had to do, and the commitment that you have with that stunt team. I mean, that was an amazing thing to watch."
Moon Knight is now streaming on Disney+, with new episodes every Wednesday.
