Batwoman cast member Nick Creegan has opened up on the advice he received from Law & Order co-star Dylan McDermott that helped on the set of the Arrowverse show.
During an exclusive chat with Digital Spy, the screen's first-ever Black Clown Prince of Crime revealed he is a huge champion of improvising on set, and feels freedom to do so thanks to advice he got from the Richard Wheatley actor.
"It's always cool to try things," he said. "They can always reel it back. But one thing I learned from Dylan McDermott on Law & Order was to just go ahead and do stuff until they tell you not."

Creegan further touched upon stuff left on the cutting room floor for the third season that he improvised.
"There was an accent I did. When I walk in with the hood in episode 12, and I'm kind of welcoming everyone to the Black Glove society – I put on a Jamaican accent, because nobody could see my face," he recalled.
"I asked the director, 'Hey, I'm going to try something. You don't have to use it but I'm going to go for it.' He's like, 'Go ahead.' So I'm like, '[does accent] Ladies and gentlemen of the Black Glove society, welcome.'"

Although the finished product didn't incorporate this tweak, Creegan still got a kick out of surprising everyone there that day.
"Nobody expected me to have a Jamaican accent on set. So it was kind of like a shock to everybody," the star said.
"They were like, 'Let's do that again. I like that. Let's try it again.' But they ended up not including it in the cut.
As fans will know, Creegan's Law & Order character Richard Wheatley Jr occupied the same space as McDermott's crime lord Richard Sr – they played father and son.
Batwoman airs on The CW in the US and E4 in the UK.
