The Book of Boba Fett spoilers follow.

The Book of Boba Fett's latest episode was full of surprises – notably the fact that the entire episode was focused on The Mandalorian's Din Djarin.

As part of Mando's journey in 'Chapter 5', we see him return to Tatooine and reunite with Peli Motto in his search for a new ship, and together they help restore an N-1 starfighter from the Republic days.

Giving us some amazing prequels nostalgia, Din then takes the ship for a test flight, before being stopped by two X-Wing pilots – Captain Carson Teva (Paul Sun-Hyung Lee) and Lieutenant Reed (Max Lloyd-Jones).

While fans will recognise the former from The Mandalorian, it turns out the latter has also appeared in the series too, having played the body double for Mark Hamill's de-aged Luke Skywalker in the season 2 finale.

With Lloyd-Jones's involvement in The Book of Boba Fett, could this hint at another Skywalker cameo in the future? We're certainly keeping our fingers crossed.

The latest episode's cameo comes after director Robert Rodriguez made a guest appearance in last week's outing as Trandoshan leader Dokk Strassi, popping up in a scene where Boba Fett gathers crime family leaders.

Meanwhile, Fennec Shand actress Ming-Na Wen recently sat down with Digital Spy, teasing some big surprises to come on Boba Fett.

"Well, one of the wonderful things about Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni and Robert Rodriguez is that they're massive Star Wars fans as well," she said.

"So the synergy of them being behind the cameras as well as knowing what fans would love – you know, what they would love to see – the fans are in for some wonderful surprises.

"There's some big stuff coming up. That's all I can say. It's great. I know I geek out all the time. I still can’t believe some of the amazing characters I've gotten to encounter."

The Book of Boba Fett is streaming on Disney+, with new episodes every Wednesday.
