Hawkeye and Spider-Man: No Way Home spoilers follow.

Disney+ will be dropping the sixth episode of Hawkeye tomorrow (December 22) – and to whet your appetite, the streaming service has released a short teaser clip, giving us a glimpse of the show's mysterious big bad.

It might obvious who it is if you've been watching the show, but if you're a bit behind, turn away now.

So yes, Vincent D'Onofrio is coming back as the Kingpin, as confirmed at the end of episode five. Fans have been wanting this ever since the Marvel Cinematic Universe Netflix shows were left in limbo after they were cancelled.

In the teaser Clint Barton says: "It's just a matter of time before the big guy gets involved". And you just know that Marvel's enjoying teasing fans with the briefest of glimpse of Kingpin himself walking with his cane.

What to Read Next

Kingpin's return comes the week after another Netflix Marvel actor reprised their role in a main MCU instalment, as Charlie Cox reprised his role as Matt Murdock from the Daredevil show in Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Will they be folding all the Defenders – Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist – and their supporting characters back into the main continuity, or are they rebooting the characters with the same actors? At this point, we don't know (don't get us started on why/how Michael Keaton's Adrian Toomes is in Morbius).

Hailee Steinfeld recently teased how the Kingpin twist affects her character, Kate Bishop, stating: "The stakes are higher than ever, and the one person that she's been tirelessly trying to protect is now someone that she might need to be protected against.

"She comes to her senses as quickly as she possibly can after learning this information and puts her head down and does what she has to do."

Hawkeye airs new episodes every Wednesday morning on Disney+.
