The Witcher newcomer Adjoa Andoh has teased how season 2 of the Netflix series will change from what has come before.
The Bridgerton star will make her debut as Nenneke in the long-awaited second outing for the fantasy show, which finally debuts later this week, and fans will witness a "deeper dive" into the characters we've all come to know so far.
Teasing what viewers can expect, Andoh told Digital Spy exclusively: "Obviously I can't tell you any of the plot, or someone would take me outside and leave me in a deserted field."

However, she went on: "I guess what I would say is, now that the series and the character and the world and the sort of battlelines have been drawn, and the desires have been articulated – what you get in season two is a deeper delve into the internal life of the characters.
"So what motivates them, what drives them, what frightens them – all those qualities, there's a richer exploration of that in this series, along with all the battles and the strategies and betrayals, and everything else that happens in the story.

"There's a slightly deeper, richer look into these characters that you've come to know and love," Andoh added.

The actress has also teased her role in the upcoming episodes, with Nenneke set to play an important part in events due to her history with Henry Cavill's Geralt of Rivia.
"She's got that sort of internal tension that I find really interesting," Adjoa explained. "She's got the longest relationship with Henry Cavill's character, Geralt. So she's known him since he was sent to the Temple of Melitele when he was a child.
"Because, you know, that place is somewhere that potential witchers get sent . You're learning midwifery, you're learning healing, you're learning how to fight, and you're also being looked at for your future potential."
The Witcher season 1 is now streaming worldwide on Netflix. Season 2 will premiere on December 17, 2021.
