Marvel boss Kevin Feige has addressed the possibility of Netflix's Marvel characters entering the MCU.

The streamer's shows, which focused on the likes of Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist, were all cancelled by 2019 – much to the disappointment of fans – and have sadly not been seen since.

However, the characters were originally part of a contract that stipulated none of them could appear on rival platforms for two years after a cancellation – though given it's now 2021, that time has now passed.

As such, speculation is rife that we could see their imminent return, and while he didn't put down an official confirmation, Feige has suggested that "all will be revealed" eventually regarding the characters popping up again.

"I always say that whenever a character comes back into the Marvel sandbox, it becomes another tool in the storytelling ability of the MCU," he told ScreenRant.

"As I said before, the good news is, all will be revealed when people actually finally watch."

It comes after the producer confirmed that Charlie Cox is the MCU's incarnation of Daredevil, telling CinemaBlend: "If you were to see Daredevil in upcoming things, Charlie Cox, yes, would be the actor playing Daredevil."

Feige added: "Where we see that, how we see that, when we see that, remains to be seen."

Rumours abound that Cox could appear as the character in Spider-Man: No Way Home, though the actor himself has remained tight-lipped.

"My answer is no comment; I don't know what's going to happen. I genuinely don't know," he told Forbes back in September.

"If there was a chance of that happening in the future, I don't want to say something that could potentially jeopardise those chances...

"I don't know, I have no idea... maybe in the future [I would reprise the role], and that would be great. Who knows? We'll see."
