The Good Place's AJ Hudson is set to voice Robin in new DC animated series Batwheels.
His version of Batman's faithful sidekick, Duke Thomas, made comic book history back in 2013, when he was introduced as the first Black character to adopt the superhero mantle. With this, he'll be making his first appearance on screen.
The show, which will air on both HBO Max and Cartoon Network, is a pre-school action-adventure comedy about "sentient super-powered crime-fighting vehicles", so the Caped Crusader, Robin and co won't be front and centre for once.

Hudson – who played a younger version of William Jackson Harper's Chidi Anagonye in the hit NBC comedy – will be heard alongside the likes of Station 19's Leah Lewis (as Cassandra Cain), Cobra Kai's Jacob Bertrand (as Bam the Batmobile) and Oscar-nominated actor Ethan Hawke, who's on board as Bruce Wayne.
An official description of the show reads: "Having just been created by the Batcomputer, our heroes are essentially kids with little to no life experience.

Throughout his career, Hudson has also featured in titles such as Ready Player One, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
