Arrow star Stephen Amell's new wrestling drama Heels has premiered a new trailer.

The Starz series follows two brothers and rivals, played by Amell and Vikings' Alexander Ludwig, as they play out scripted matches in professional wrestling.

Amell plays bad guy wrestler Jack Spade, aka the heel, who is feuding with his brother Ace, the 'hero' aka the face.

Set in a close-knit Georgia community, it follows the two brothers in their family-owned wrestling promotion and explores what happens both in and out of the ring as they war over their late father's legacy.

Heels will also feature former WWE Superstar CM Punk, who recently teased a little bit about his role while speaking exclusively to Digital Spy last month.

"I play a character that is, technically it's me in another life," he said. "A very popular independent wrestler who, if you want people to show up to your show, you book him on this show.

"He's kind of been everywhere, done everything, he's a little bit older now and he's a character that everybody likes."

Heels premieres on Starz in the US on August 15, while a UK broadcaster hasn't been announced.
