Netflix has unveiled a new trailer for Outer Banks season 2 and with it a sneak peek at what's coming in terms of that cliffhanger fans will know all too well from season 1.

The latest teaser, which you can check out for yourself above, revealed that John B (Chase Stokes) and Sarah (Madelyn Cline) do in fact reunite with the Pogues at some point during the season.

As fans will know, the two went into hiding at the end of season 1 and the new trailer shows the two on the run in the Bahamas after fleeing when John was accused of a murder he didn't commit.

The teaser also shows Kiara (Madison Bailey), Pope (Jonathan Daviss) and JJ (Rudy Pankow) as they try to get the treasure in the Outer Banks.

We got our first tease of what's to come in the second season back in May when Netflix dropped first-look photos.

"Season 2 is going to test our crew like never before. We've turned up the dial on everything fans loved about season 1 – more mystery, more romance and higher stakes," executive producers Shannon Burke, Jonas and Josh Pate said of what's to come.

"It's a full throttle, action-packed adventure and these photos offer a glimpse into the next chapter for our Pogues," they added, promising fans it will "be a wild ride".

Outer Banks season 2 will premiere on Netflix on July 30. Season 1 is available to stream now.
