Star Wars' JJ Abrams is teaming up with True Blood writer Angela Robinson for a new Worlds of DC TV series about Madame Xanadu – more often known as Madame X.
The show, for HBO Max, is expected to tie into the Abrams-produced Justice League Dark series, as well as his already-announced new Constantine project. (Via The Hollywood Reporter.)
Madame X – also known as Nima or Nimue – first cropped up in the comics back in 1978 and is part of the Justice League Dark universe, so that already connects her to the new franchise spin-offs.

The character has appeared before in Swamp Thing played by Jeryl Prescott, but this is Madame X's first time in live-action.
She is an immortal clairvoyant who other characters often go to for help, and has worked with the likes of the Suicide Squad, John Constantine and The Spectre – who upon finding out he couldn't kill her, blinded her instead.
It is an exciting show to be in development at the moment as Madame X probably isn't a character that mainstream audiences will really be aware of, so it gives a lot of room for the show to develop the character.

Abrams has got quite a busy schedule coming up with this and Constantine, as well as a new Superman reboot and Batman animated series.
Looks like the Worlds of DC is going to be rivalling Marvel with all these up-and-coming new shows.
