The Flash, Batwoman, DC's Legends of Tomorrow, Riverdale and more get premiere dates

The CW has revealed when some of our favourite shows will be returning to screens, including The Flash and Riverdale.

Kicking off the US network's autumn line-up is the third season of Nancy Drew, starring Kennedy McMann, which will premiere on Friday, October 8.

October 13 will see two big returns with the seventh season of DC's Legends of Tomorrow debuting as well as the third season of Batwoman. A day later, the fourth season of Legacies will begin.

October 26 will mark the return of Jared Padalecki's western drama Walker for its second season.

But the network has saved its heaviest hitters for last with The Flash season eight and Riverdale season six arriving on November 16.

Last month, it was revealed The Flash's eighth season will be kicking off with five special Arrowverse "crossover-type" episodes.

The CW's chairman and CEO Mark Pedowitz told Entertainment Weekly: "The idea for The Flash is [showrunner] Eric Wallace and [executive producer Greg Berlanti] have come together, and we're talking about other superheroes from the CW-verse that will come together in each individual episode.

"It will not quite be a crossover, but it will have a crossover-type feel with the introduction of all these characters."

He then teased: "I'll let you have those conversations with Eric Wallace. We do know that there are a couple feelers out to a couple of the actors, but we have no definitives yet."

The Flash airs on The CW in the US. Sky One and NOW air the show in the UK.
