Lucifer season 5 star Rachael Harris recently described her character's latest storyline as "gut-wrenching", and it really was, but Linda's not the only one who had her guts wrenched this season.
In the final episode of season five, Lucifer fought his brother to a standstill, but the tables suddenly turned when Michael stabbed Chloe in the stomach. Lucifer's greatest love died in his arms while his evil twin looked on.

Thankfully, the episode wasn't named 'A Chance at a Happy Ending' for no reason. To save Chloe, Lucifer decides to bring her back from heaven knowing that he'll die if he visits this holy realm. But, plot twist! By sacrificing himself to resurrect Chloe, Lucifer proves that he's worthy of taking over his father's mantle. So not only does Lucifer survive this ordeal, he ends up becoming the new God.
But what does this all mean for Deckerstar, everyone's favourite demonic couple?
Since season five finished airing on Netflix, fans have started to speculate that there may be more to Chloe's "death" than meets the eye. After all, she wasn't just killed by ordinary means. Michael stabbed Chloe with a staff made of wood taken from the Tree of Life.
So why is that important? Back before season 5B aired, fans suspected that Chloe might be pregnant thanks to a throwaway joke about fatherhood in the trailer. We now know that this line wasn't actually a big reveal after all, but that doesn't mean Chloe isn't pregnant still.
Surely it's no coincidence that she was stabbed (somewhat ironically) in her stomach by the Tree of Life? Something which angel Zadkiel was at great pains to comment upon.
What if Chloe was already pregnant and the Tree of Life somehow transforms her unborn baby into something celestial?
It's entirely possible that Chloe herself may have also been changed somehow, giving her the same abilities that the Tree once possessed. Perhaps this will even help Chloe conceive a baby with Lucifer, who has now replaced his father to become God himself...
On top of all that, fans have also pointed out that the name Chloe actually means "blooming" or "fertility" in Greek. And sure, it's a bit of a stretch to think this was deliberate given how long the show's been going on for, but still, would it be so crazy if they did introduce a baby in the final season?
Deckerstar has come a long way since the early days, and making them parents together would actually bring everything full circle. Father issues have plagued Lucifer across all five seasons, so there's something rather satisfying about the idea of Daddy Luce replacing God and then becoming a father himself.
Whatever happens, saying goodbye to Lucifer at the end of season six is going to be a gut-wrenching affair, one that the writers could make a lot easier for Lucifans by giving him the family he's always needed.
